A Special Visit from Nurse Kathy!

Enfermera Kathy visited La Escuelita Puerta Abierta today. She talked with us about healthy eating habits, the importance of hand washing, and the proper way to sneeze and cough so that we don't pass our germs. We also learned how to use a steth-o-scope and how to pronounce such a long word!

  1. Amanda,

I've enjoyed following your posts here. Thank you for doing this so regularly. I'm surprised at how many spot on, fun, and practical activities you're offering to the children. The pictures portray everyone attentive to brushing their teeth, learning about health, making art...it's a great mix.

Cary comes home glowing each day from his classes. And he's ready to run across the street ("yo solo papi") to attend the next day's happenings. I'm sure the others are just as excited.

My husband Jim & I are thrilled to be able to see what Cary and his classmates are doing in school each day. What fun the children are having while learning valuable life skills!! Please keep posting regularly so we have a window on his daily activities that is not possible any other way across the miles from Colorado where we live. Thank you - you are appreciated.
